like the victims actually counted, or mattered. I mean, look at the forced residential schools for the indigenous hereand in Canada. Look at the trail of blood the church enacted all across this hemisphere. Look at the Inquisition, the Burning Times, the Magdaline Laundries. The church is such a great moral authority.

And in terms of the inquisition. The worst thing about it was no one expected it.

Sorry couldn't resist.

I was beaten, bullied, locked in the closet, called disgusting names,... and all that by the nuns who were my teachers.

Finally, in fourth grade, I walked out of the classroom in the middle of the day and told my parents I would never go back to that school again. I must have made a pretty strong case because the next day my parents enrolled me in public school, and it was like I died and went to heaven. The teachers were nice, I made new friends, I enjoyed going to school like I never had before.

I'm not sure why, but I never blamed myself for what happened. I blamed the nuns and the church that allowed that to happen to me. Needless to say, I stopped being a Catholic as well.

What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.

Until the report in 2009 (which was confirmed by this report) that not only was their rampant sex abuse cases but that they covered it up.
TAX THE CHURCHES! NOW!

isn’t just an RC thing. It’s a world-wide curse. Read
the soul-crushing essay by Fintan O’Toole in the New York Review of Books - The Lie of Nation Building - in which he writes about how American taxpayer money was squandered on corrupt Aghan warlords, with no accountability, while it was well known that they engaged in rape and sodomy of young boys on a massive scale.
