(2,809 posts)Were I in a courtroom, jury, whatever hearing that "defense" I absolutely would not be able to control my laughter.
The day I climbed in my vehicle and heard the reports of the riot Jan 6th, I had to pull out of traffic in shock, thinking to myself WTF do these idiots think they're going to accomplish. I knew none of the rally-prelude until that evening seeing coverage.
Just pushes these wackjobs who still claim TFG as "their president" further into the strait-suit category.
TFG did prove one old adage correct beyond a doubt: "there's no such thing as bad publicity".
I hope he just keeps up the same wacko broken record bamboozle-whirl ad nauseum. More will finally catch on.

(4,290 posts)Neither did the five (5) Capital Police officers "deserve to die" due to the bad behavior on the part of the insurrectionists. Nor did the officers who sustained major injuries and yet still survived. Nor did those who committed suicide after suffering mental anguish from such "bad behavior."
Actions have consequences, and insurrectionists should have to deal with those consequences; indeed all the participants, but especially the instigators. Including and especially the SOREST loser in all history, tfg. The fact that this particular rioter's doctor "didn't advise her to get vaccinated," is inconsequential. Her "chastisement" on the street, and the shunning of her business are indeed additional consequences of her bad judgement.
Spare me!
Over the past 12 months, I have lost at least six friends -- two of whom were more like family members than friends -- so I am unmoved by her pleas here. If she couldn't do the time, she shouldn't have done the crime. I remember reading that somewhere...
