Rachel Maddow reports on a statement by Donald Trump with perhaps the most bipartisan appeal of anything he has ever uttered: that if his Big Lie about his losing bid for reelection in 2020 isn't "solved," then Republicans will not vote in 2022 or 2024. Aired on 10/13/2021.

(6,617 posts)We can get rid of some real weirdos in our govt. Green, McCarthy, McCarthy's #2, McConnell, Goetz, Jordan just to name a few- the list is enormous. Sorry in advance for any misspellings.

(204,804 posts)And his "supporters" have inexplicably gone along with every other stupid he's come up with, so we can hope that they'll listen to his orders on this one. What I don't get is how he's managing to get his messages out there, he's been thrown off of every public platform there is for his lies and inciting messages.

(50,530 posts)Take Greene. Please. She ran with the idea of helping TFG destroy the country. Since TFG was voted out and all her committee assignments were taken away, all she can really do is troll the Internet. I dont know if we can get a Democrat in that seat (although the guy with all the military hardware in his campaign ads looks good) but a slightly more rational Republican has a real chance.

(13,987 posts)but untangling his garbled syntax leads me to think he meant that not "solving" the fraudulent fraud is of the greatest importance, and that not doing so would result in republican't votes not being tallied properly.
Of course, I could be wrong. I'm not fluent in gibberish.

(14,165 posts)This new Trump Party actually WANTS to lose. Well lets say they would prefer to "win in a landslide". But their projections might show that its too close to call. The only sure way to get into power, into all branches, is some kind of new civil war. With a compliant court there to back them up, Governors to enact new laws overturning electors, they don't even need much actual violence.
So that if Democrats win, especially if they win the House at least, And inevitable if Democrats also win the Senate, he can bring out the old "FRAUD!!!" charges, and say "See, I was right!" And put out a call to now "Stand Up" and fight for your Fuher.
