If Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Department of Justice ultimately refuse to prosecute Donald Trump and his criminal associates for the crimes they inarguably committed, particularly the election crimes culminating in the insurrection attempt on January 6, here is what America is facing in 2022 and 2024. Indeed, enforcing the rule of law is our last, best hope for maintaining the health, indeed the viability, of our republic.
