whose politics change with their bank accounts. She's made buckets of money now, and has forgotten about her past, and how she grew up. Now her friends are the wealthy, and the wealthy don't like to pay taxes. Taxes are for chumps. She's got a much larger bank account now as well, and nothing changes the past like being flush with cash in the present and future.

She's not a "maverick", she's a budding conservative, and eager to please those who throw a little "miracle-gro" her way. I think she sees this as her path to the future. I'll do anything I can to see that path strewn with obstacles from now on.

I don't know about her constituents, but I'd have trouble voting for a senator not knowing where she stands - and I usually vote a straight ticket. But we've traditionally been lucky with our senators here in New York. I cannot say that for my current Rep.
