Isn't the Rational National actually the Green Party supporter David Doel who was complaining a few years back that Youtube was preventing him from monetizing his "activism"? Why is he being linked to on DU?

(18,187 posts)I posted a screenshot of the activism-monetizing Youtuber's anti-Democratic Party "activism" against the Biden agenda.
Uncle Joe
(58,298 posts)a third party activist opponent of now President Biden.
I linked to a current day video of a Youtuber activist supporter of Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush and her highly valid criticism of Big Oil's disproportionate environmental impact against minorities.
I view her valid criticism of Big Oil (especially considering how much you and I both like and/or respect Al Gore) to be worthy of promoting.
To my knowledge Cori Bush supports the Build Back Better Bill.

(18,187 posts)and was actively working against both Joe Biden and his agenda during the 2020 general election. His "work" (i.e.The Rational National) should not be promoted here.
I'm not sure why Cori Bush would appear on his Youtube channel. There are more productive ways to work against environmental racism, including working with colleagues to end the shipping of toxic waste across state lines so it can be dumped in predominantly brown areas.
This is GOTV weekend for Democrats who work to elect Democrats. It's an inappropriate time to promote the Youtube channels of
those who work against our Party's interests.

(29,322 posts)I dont remember him promoting third parties in fact he said voting is a tool and things like that. He supports progressives within the Democratic Party but his commentary is mild compared to others.
On DU we should be able to share writers and others we like without all the complaining. YouTube videos from YouTube hosts should be posted in this forum. It isnt like this is a Jimmy Dore video.
There are reasons why I like Twitter which is I have the freedom to support a David Doel without the complaining. The Nomiki Show is actually my favorite show but I never posted a video here at Du because there would be complaining.

Uncle Joe
(58,298 posts)or you would know "Cori Bush didn't appear on his YouTube channel."
That was congressional clips and analysis.
Have good night.

(18,187 posts)I won't be party to monetizing that particular brand of "activism".
I'm glad to hear the Cori Bush did not appear on his show. I look forward to her talking to colleagues about the dumping of toxic waste across state lines and to her voting in support President Biden's BBB social and environmental agenda.

The most vulnerable to the damage and suffering would be poor and older Americans, infants and children, and African Americans, who live in large numbers in urban areas where the heat island effect intensifies rising climactic temperatures.
Almost eight out of 10 African Americans live within 30 miles of a coal-burning plant, are three times more likely to die of airborne pollution than the overall population of the US, and black children suffer twice the levels of asthma with 10 times the level of asthmatic deaths, Gore said.
The former vice-president to Bill Clinton, who famously won the popular vote in the 2000 presidential election but was defeated by George Bush on the electoral college count, launched an attack Scott Pruitt, the beleaguered administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), for whittling down safeguards and regulations on air pollution. Pruitt is fighting to save his job having become engulfed in a raft of ethical controversies.

Gore finished with an impassioned call for reforms to protect the US democratic system from the caustic influence of rich individuals and corporations. Out democracy was hacked long before Vladimir Putin hacked it, by big money and big lobbying. In order to solve the climate crisis weve got to fix the democracy crisis.
