Irish Fishermen Plan To Disrupt Russian Naval War Games: 'Our Presence Is Our Protest' - TRMS

As reminders of the horrors of war. The Russians suffered horribly during WWII, it was fought on their own soil. They even have museums in the smallest schools to teach the next generations about what they experienced so it would never happen again. Have they forgotten so soon??

Even as a kindergartner I remember hiding in the basement of the school, a rehearsal for when the Russian bombs came. So when my grandmother asked me to join her peace group on a trip to the USSR, I pretty much freaked out, but I went because my Nana asked me. And it was not at all what I expected, I loved the members of the group, all senior citizens except for one woman - and me. But the people we met were not what I expected either, some were groups dedicated to peace, but even people on the street were excited and pleased to meet Americans.

And it is one beautiful and historic country - we once visited a 9th-century church! And I still remember one particular woman who had been a nurse during WWII - and she said "Please, when you go back, tell your president that we want peace!" So when I hear these threats of unnecessary and instigated war, I can't help wondering what happened??

that is why they don't want NATO to have a 3,122-mile border with Russia and Belarus.

could hit London in about an hour. Russia is also wrapping up testing of their Tzirkon hypersonic anti-ship cruise missile, which they successfully launched from surface ships and submarines about a month ago. Putin is anything but subtle in his statements.

There's plenty of potential for serious trouble here.

Incidentally, I spent a week in and around Killybegs a few years ago. It's Ireland's biggest fishing port, and many of Rachel's "little fishing boats" are pretty big ships, and they easily outnumber the tiny Irish Navy.

This shouldn't be up to Irish fishermen no matter how many or how big their ships are.
