Kirschner: Trump Is 'Most Investigated, Least Prosecuted' Man In History - The Last Word - MSNBC

Fmr. prosecutor Glenn Kirschner joins MSNBC’s Jason Johnson to discuss the many crimes that could potentially take down Donald Trump, but says he will specifically be watching the Jan. 6th hearing witness tampering accusations to see if DOJ “moves to put a stop to it in real time.” Tim O’Brien says the real importance of the Jan. 6th hearings is to push the Justice Department to indict Trump and his cohorts “for staging a coup.” Aired on 07/01/2022.

3. It seems to me that he's constantly being investigated, that why he has so many lawyers

We know that there are still active investigations both in New York and Georgia, not sure if there are other states. And the January 6th Hearings may have focused on those in his administration regarding the last election, but the bottom line is that everything is really about him - and his efforts to overthrow the government.

Who bends or breaks every rule he can.

I'm willing to bet he wasn't lying about constantly being under irs audit, the man screams tax cheat, among other crimes.

6. Oh, I have Mary Trump's books - and Trumps will do anything to avoid paying taxes!

A few years back, the New York Times published their longest expose ever on TFG's history of financial shenanigans. And, unlike any other presidential candidate, he refused to release his tax returns - all I think we know is that he paid $750 in federal taxes the year he became president.

8. I know, Good Grief! Seeing him was unavoidable - to the detriment of anyone else or other news!

I couldn't stand to see or hear him, so I just stopped watching the news, figured i'd tune in again as soon as the election was over - and we know how that turned out! I'm still amazed that we made it through those four years (those of us that are still here ) - but it still isn't over! A year and a half later, what is the news still all about??

9. Still so pissed at the media

His administration was non-stop scandal, grift, crime, and policy disaster.

In a global pandemic, he sided, to all intents and purposes, with the virus ffs and the media was still mostly ho hum, he still polls at least 30% so nothing to see here.

10. I know. He wasn't a president, he was a criminal who used the office to grift money, little else

And the timing was the worst since Covid hit and hundreds, then thousands, were dying. And instead of addressing this historic national crisis, he used his "press briefings" to suggest drinking bleach or whatever other insane thought entered his addled head. And more people died because they refused to get a life-saving vaccine - and exposed their families and neighbors.

And instead of consigning him to a disaster in the history books, he's still the top news story of the day for attempting to overthrow the government and install himself as "president for life!" It's been a year-and-a-half and this story is far from over. He's still out there, lying to those who are demented enough to listen - when we need an end to this ongoing national nightmare. We lock up crooks in this country and he's been a criminal of historic proportions.

I've long wondered what the history books will make of this long national nightmare - now I'm beginning to wonder if we will have one - or if teaching history will be outlawed.

And they're finding out new information all the time. Cassidy Hutchinson was a new surprise witness and, IMO, the most effective, so far! *sigh*
