Related: About this forumMississippi OUT OF WATER as Republican Incompetence leads to CATASTROPHE - Meidas Touch
Republican Governor of Missouri Tate Reeves announced a State of Emergency after the state completely ran out of water. This is the latest example of the incompetence of Red State governors who continue to put nonsense culture war issues ahead of actually doing the work to ensure their states function.

This is inaccurate. It is the (capital) city of Jackson that is out of water.

Id laugh right out loud if I thought only Republican adults were suffering. But I know the suffering in huge.

It's why the tax base is so bad. Capitol or not, it is a white-free zone for the most part.
They are fine with suffering there. All it takes is a state budget line item to fix it. Won't happen.

The neglect that led to their one water plant being so poorly maintained can largely be explained by white flight and the fact that the remaining population is mostly black. I'm sure the Lege will manage to arrange for their own water supply. Meanwhile the suburbs like Pearl and Richland and the rest of the state are fine.
