Donald Trump loves to come up with fun little nicknames for his opponents and people he just genuinely doesn't like. And a lot of those nicknames have really stuck around with a lot of these people, those lion, Ted Cruz, crooked, Hillary, little Marco Rubio. And so this week, reporters from Raw Story actually had the opportunity because they were in the halls of Congress, they saw Marco Rubio. So they went up there with their microphone and they said, Hey, uh, Senator Rubio, we would like to ask you a quick question about your 2016 campaign. And if you were to go back and do it again, would you do any, uh, anything different? You know, like maybe not letting Donald Trump define you as little Marco. So obviously the question started off as just a generic, like, Hey, if you could do it all again, what would you do different?

Like maybe not letting that one guy make fun of you all the time to the point where it probably ruined any chance you had of ever winning a higher office. I do love the way that question was framed. And once they ended the question on the, you know, like, not letting Trump call you little Marco, that's when Marco Rubio decided he didn't want anything to do with answering the question. He dodged it and responded, saying quote, look you guys, we have six committee hearings this afternoon. We're running all over the place. Like, I'm jumping from rail to, to that question to everything else. I'm doing my job here. I'm focused on my job. I don't really have time to reflect or look back on one day. I'll write my memoirs and you can read all about it.

Gee, Marcos seems like they touched a nerve by reminding you that Donald Trump labeled you Little Marco, because you were more than happy to listen to the first part of the question, like you were about to answer it until they brought up Little Marco. At that point, you're like, ah, suddenly I'm so busy. There's six committee hearings. I gotta get the hell outta here. I'll write a book one day. Please buy it. That, that's not an answer. It's, it's the opposite of the answer that's basically running away because you're a coward and you don't want to be reminded of one of the biggest humiliations that you've ever suffered along with, of course, that time you had to reach for the water bottle during your State of the Union response. This is what reporters need to do. We have far too many sitting Republicans in the Senate, in the house, in state legislators, uh, legislatures, uh, willing to defend Donald Trump to the death. And a lot of these people have been personally attacked by Donald Trump. So I love what these reporters at Raw Story did, you know, top marks for that. That was brilliant. I wanna see more of it. Put these Republicans on the spot. Trump has been nothing but a to you basically forever. He doesn't like you

At the first sign of any, you know, competition or any trouble. He will toss you out to the wolves. So reminding these Republicans of that, also reminding them that Trump doesn't technically even have any power right now. Maybe that's not such a bad idea, and maybe it'll open a couple of eyes here and there to the fact that no Trump genuinely hates you guys. He just uses you as helpful tools when he needs you to accomplish his own ends. But the second he has accomplished that goal, you're tossed out never to be mentioned again, unless he wants to insult you.
