Anonymous, Knight Sec, Hackers Threaten Revenge on Alleged Teen Rapists

After members of the Big Red high school football team allegedly kidnapped and raped a teen girl (and allegedly posted updates on FB & Twitter) and only 2 members of the team were punished, hactivist groups Anonymous and Knightsec took matters into their own hands on behalf of the female victim. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian discuss the story and why this is the age of vigilante justice.

are quite finished with this just yet.
But if they are...I wish Anonymous and friends all the luck in the world to make every last person involved pay for their crimes.

This has echoes of the Penn State/ Jerry Sandusky thing, where people knew what was going on but they just kept on with business as usual.

Filming a rape and posting it online and then calling the girl a whore online is beyond disgusting. I don't blame somebody for trying to take justice in their own hands a little bit when the authorities clearly don't care.

POSs did is the ultimate in the creation of a situation by which they give themselves a justification of slutshaming... it seems they needed to show what manly men they think they are by way of destroying the life of a woman. That is what it's all about for them. Until this nation decides to rediscover respect for one's self and for others, this violence against women, gun violence and violence in general will continue unabated.

They deserve the maximum of ruination they perpetrated upon that poor young girl, without mercy, in response for their actions.. all of them. When men figure out that this sort of dehumanization of women is going to come back at them in full force on a negative plane, they will change. Until then, we have a problem, Houston. What I think would be the best response is for all women to deny all men any attention, especially sexual, and use deadly force to keep from being violated until a major change in the behavior of men en masse ensues and becomes a reality for all women.

ALL of the fellas that laid ONE HAND on this poor girl need to do time - serious time - in the BIG HOUSE.

These kids violated this girl in a horrible way over and over and over again, while other kids made fun of it or watched, city officials/coaches/etc try to bury the story and Anonymous is the bad guy cause they want to make public some addresses and personal info? Fuck that. No quarter, I say.

and social security numbers out there. Remember these dumb asses have family that probably don't know what their kids did. Only after they their parents find out. If I were the young lady I would sue the men that did this to her.

as long as all officials and anyone with any authority to do anything is unwilling to do their jobs. And as long as the male component of the authority figures see her as nothing more than an object, she's not going to get anywhere no matter what they did. Never know, maybe those authority figures grew up doing the same things.

Anonymous did this because nobody with authority was willing to do the right thing here. I think that they should get what they get from whatever comes at them since they had no misgivings about doing what they did to someone else with no consideration to what it would do to the victim. If their parents had been paying attention, their kids would have a moral compass. I have some misgivings about the parents' info being made public but I do think they should be held accountable in some form for what their kids saw as entertainment that resulted in the ruination of the life of someone else.

The war on women continues to get uglier.

they are gods nothing will be done. We must stop giving scholarship to sports people. Maybe we should give them to people with real brains who want to be doctors, teachers etc. Stop throwing money at losers for once. They should shut these programs down period. Get back to the basics in school. All this extra activity needs to stop. Send our kids for reading, writing and arithmetic. Then if a kid needs some tutoring keep them after wards and give them help. We can cut hours just for the basics. Anything else in the afternoon parents want for their kids then the parents can pay a small fee.

but two social networks? I think this speaks volumes about society and what can somehow be seen as acceptable & to promote this online to boot? It boggles the mind, but I think more and more we will see depravity like this being uncovered. It wasn't just the actions of these criminals, and it is criminal, it's the abhorrent acceptance of it by older adults? (Guess I'm using the term adults freely, don't know any of their ages, except that the girl was 16 I think?)

Rape, kidnapping & the celebration of it via FB & Twitter, what were they hoping the results of this was going to be? Were they trying to kill her also or hoping she'd kill herself afterwards?
