Wisconsin marching band has a message for Scott Walker. This is priceless.

An inspirational example of young musicians standing in solidarity with workers issues. They delivered the message to Walker that, quoting the Union Maid’s chorus, “You can’t scare me I’m stickin’ to the the union!”

Priceless. And a great argument for just using subtitles for the floats in the future with no happy peppy perky people on microphones.

He told me he dislikes Walker, however, will probably vote for him because the Democrats do not have a serious candidate. I told him to stay tuned. Walker has been airing thousands of campaign ads in Northeast Wisconsin, and the Democrats have not yet begun the second phase of the Walker recall effort here.

"The Rose Bowl parade this year featured the high school marching band from Pulaski, Wisconsin, as the game was Wisconsin v. Oregon. In front of the stands where Gov. Scott Walker was sitting, the band stopped to play a familiar tune – Union Maid."

The bluegrass community called 2011 "The year of Bill Monroe". Woody would be 100 years old this year, and his words resonate this year as Labor fights its most challenging battles.

Solidarity in the Year of Woody Guthrie!
Kudos to the Marching Band!
