A boat equipped especially for this purpose is called a "trawler".

Your fact for the day.

13. And if you had given us the definition for trolling.

From:http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=post&forum=1017&pid=92605

Trolling:
3. to fish for or in with a moving line, working the line up or down with a rod, as in fishing for pike, or trailing the line behind a slow-moving boat.

4. to move (the line or bait) in doing this.

9. to fish by trolling.

13. the act of trolling.

14. a lure used in trolling for fish.

Maybe it's a matter of whether you live near the ocean or inland waterways?

I don't think it matters where one lives. It is the tools they use and whether they are commercial or recreational fishing. In WhoIsNumberNone's definition it applied to the use of nets and even buoys. Your definition did not include the use of either but is the term used by non-commerical/recreational fisherman and one they use.

If more people would just not react to these trolls, they would lose a lot of their power.

Little trolls.... I'd keep some on hand for a troll encounter.

I used to have my own Troll Dolls, right around the pre-teen age in the 60's.

But, I think someone should make a small version of these, nothing that would be projectile when thrown like confetti... Just a nice way to recognize these bozos in person.
