I wondered about the ATF being one agency, but after seeing this snippet of evidence that soooo many have no clue as to why firearms and alcohol don't mix, I can see a purpose in the mixed missions of that agency. Obviously, there is a large population of individuals who don't get it as evidenced in this video. Not funny, almost sad... almost.

doing just like some of these idiots, assuming it was unloaded,
showing off my 410 shotgun to a friend, pointed it in air, and
pulled trigger, then ... came the most unexpected ...

******BLAM!!!!!!****** holy shit!!

Fortunately, the ceiling had knotty pine beams, one of which
swallowed the buckshot whole, without going through the
upstairs floor.

PS - my parents never found out, until we had already moved
out of that house, because I filled the hole with silly putty and
then smoothed it out with dark brown paint, so it looked like
just another one of the knots in the pine.

I did learn my lesson however; and now days I'm not into guns
at all.
