the $5 trillion amounts to my employer giving me a credit card with a $3 trillion balance and then she cuts her payments on the account by $1.4 trillion, so that she can complain about my reckless handling of the account.

The Bush Recession caused high unemployment which means less revenue coming in and more revenue going out for unemployment benefits and food stamps etc. Thats why they call Obama the Food Stamp president. Food stamps had to be increased because of the Bush recession.
