This hour long video should be renamed Current Economic Disaster 101. Probably one of the most informative videos on the subject, imho.

so was Brooksley Born! A Frontline episode: "The Warning": In The Warning, veteran FRONTLINE producer Michael Kirk unearths the hidden history of the nation's worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. At the center of it all he finds Brooksley Born, who speaks for the first time on television about her failed campaign to regulate the secretive, multitrillion-dollar derivatives market whose crash helped trigger the financial collapse in the fall of 2008.

Though 60 minutes has taken a back seat to the previous hard-core, REAL investigative journalism that they had built their reputation upon...thank goodness for Moyers and his recent comeback as well as for Frontline for their integrity for telling the real story and naming names in areas that impact ALL of us! Kudos to them

The thing that gets me about Alan Greenspan is that he actually had the AUDACITY to later almost quip and BOAST about how much he actually snowed the American People by his slick double-speak that even he - himself didn't even understand - yet - because of his statue, no one DARED to question him?????

Basically, something like this:

and last weeks report..he said he is just reporting the facts..he is a journalist. I learned plenty about this and hats off to John Reed for telling the truth...or at least some of the truth

in some areas...in other areas - (shrug) not so much. Though I guess he has his own ego to hold onto. Not really willing to give it all away, yet at the same time...not completely out of touch either. Good interview. I like that about Bill Moyers, how he can approach folks with such honesty and sincerity that maybe some actually let their guard down just long enough to shed some well needed light.

So glad Bill is back! We sure do need him!

it was so clear to most reasonable, ordinary people. i was in college in the 90's discussing this stuff in class. my right titling economic professor was telling us how it was going to work, while reason screamed it made no sense.
