It seems all the things I LOVE to eat (or drink) are expensive! Champagne taste/Beer budget.

Wild caught Jumbo Prawns, fresh crab (Dungeness or King) , Maine lobster, King Salmon, Olympia, Pacific or Belon Oysters on the half shell, U10 Alaska Dry Scallops, tenderloin steak, Chanterelle mushrooms, Parma Prosciutto, wild rice, Dom Pérignon, Bordeaux wine...sigh

There are fruit cakes I don't care for, one that comes from the Collin bakery in Texas comes to mind. It doesn't have citron which it really needs to cut the sweetness.

My great aunt would make fruitcakes in October for Christmas. They were quite drunk as they were imbibing some kinds of spirits regularly. Nobody, I mean, nobody ever refused aunt Marie's fruit cake. They were delish.

candy corn and Sweet tarts. One so sweet and the other sweet and tart. Go figure.
Anyway, I have learned that it is not an insult but a truism that there is no accounting for taste. I know that people who say that mean are trying to belittle other people but as is said, "Ones trash is another's treasure.

Enjoy your candy corn but don't forget your teeth.

Candy corn is a nice treat when I have several pieces. If I eat a handful or more, I regret it.
