What free browsers are you using? I'm having problems with both Firefox and Chrome. Of course, my system is ancient, but I can't replace it yet.

(22,011 posts)I can't get Opera to run, although it downloaded.
I have this old XP desktop that I can't afford to replace yet. Can't get updates for anything, like Chrome or Foxfire. Its really screwing me up. Any other ideas? I don't want to just replace software when I need the whole shebang.

(22,011 posts)Thanks, Steve.
Most of the current problem is with LinkedIn, which I use heavily for my business. It is suddenly not letting me send messages, even to my own contacts. Their best suggestion is to use a different browser. However, my new laptop has the latest version of Chrome. When I got on LinkedIn with it today, it still wouldn't let me send anything. I think its their problem. Their sorry excuse for tech support is fairly worthless. And I'm paying $60 a month for subscription.
