Remembrance Day in canada is coming up. The poppy is the flower everyone

wears on their lapel. My sister was in town and visited the War Museum in Ottawa with her daughter. At one display there were cards you could fill out with a remembrance of someone who died in battle or someone you knew of who fought. Poppy seeds were embedded into the cards. My sister thanked my grandfather for sacrificing his health in WWII. You deposit your cards into a container. After remembrance day they take all the cards people have filled in and mulch them and mix them with earth. They deposit them on the roof of the War Museum where they will grow into live poppies next spring/summer. I thought that was really sweet.
