Stop dying already!!!

This is just a mini-rant but it's beginning to get to me. And believe me, it takes some to get to me.

The deaths of Dick Clark, Jonathan Frid and Levon Helm make, I believe, NINETEEN since the beginning of the year. Nineteen people who are in some important way linked to me. Not all friends but people I have reason to care about in some way, most personally. All but a couple were indeed old and amazingly all but one were men. But I'd like to ask that the Great Equalizer spread it out a little, okay?

I was thinking about that yesterday. Ronnie Montrose, Michael Hossack last month. I guess we're just getting to that age.

it's the burden we face as survivors. Anyone with a head start towards death (ie older, worse health, bad habits) is likely to leave us sad at some point.

Look who's probably going to kick off in the next 30 years or so:
Everyone remaining from the Woodstock bands.....most actors over 60, favorite people over 60......

It's a bummer, so we've got to make the best of it while we're still alive and kicking.

Sorry to go all "meta" on you, but I've been getting real deep since my own illness slapped me in the face and left me with time to think.
