And cream when I had my coffee, he got a tablespoon near daily. He is the last of the cat pack.He was quite a talker these last 7 months, he was very clear when it was time for bed, and I cherish the memory of him sleeping on and with me. He was pretty chill with the kittens. I am going to miss him very much.

(20,755 posts)Our beloved fur critters noodge their way into so much of our lives... things we do every day, thoughts and expressions, plans and actions. And when they leave us the emptiness where their loving presence was just hurts like hell.
May time bring comfort, and Majik's memory bless you with sweet dreams, funny stories, and the knowledge of much love shared, multiplied, and appreciated.
sadly,
Bright

(28,117 posts)And I know your pain well.
Another DUer, Bayard, just lost her long-time companion/soulmate/baby too, just yesterday. He was a Siamese named Cisco. I imagine she's too grief stricken and busy to post.
When the last thing you feel at night and first to greet you in the morning for close to 2 decades is gone, it hurt like hell. It throws us off balance for awhile. But we cherish the bittersweet memories.
Post us another pic of Majik if you feel up to it.
Thanks, Duppers.

(1,239 posts)Whenever tuna salad is made the tuna juice is saved for our cats - its pretty popular. So is cream and any type of real meat.

(2,302 posts)I sympathize with you and know it's so hard to lose a loved fur friend.
My sister's pup is very ill and his time is short. Her first pet and I know it will be hard for her, too.
Sending my huggy vibes to you.

(17,427 posts)My semi-feral cat, "Ocracoke" after the island she was from, went on around seven years ago. Tuna water reminds me of a story about her, I'd like to share. She too, loved the juice from the tuna can. I got some tuna in the dry bag pack for free with a coupon. She smelled the tuna and insisted on her tuna juice, but there was none. She spoke to me about this at length. I finally put some water in the bag and shook it up. It just wasn't the same and I was told so for the rest of the evening. I never bought any of the dry pack again. Good memory.

(3,867 posts)I tell myself I can never go through this again, it is so painful. Then I think of all the animals that don't have a home & I subject myself to it again & have years of happiness & companionship.

(12,051 posts)we miss them, but at our age and with the fact that we travel a lot, it's not practical to have pets. We also don't think we could stand the pain of losing them. I can't cry like that anymore!
