28. Thx. Met P, P & M in HS and got a big hug from Peter

Nov 2017

I attended a recall Evan Mecham benefit concert that P, P &M gave at Gamage/ASU and was at a Bday party afterwards for Peter. I went up to him and wished him a happy Bday and he gave me a long super heart felt hug. Must have lasted a minute. He then proceeded to talk to me for quite a while and was genuinely interested in me and why I was there. A couple of friends kinda snickered afterwards, but it kinda moved me to be honest. I look back on that hug and converstion as a strong reason I stayed a Democrat and get involved to this day. I never change a P, P & M song on the radio dial either.
This was ‘86-‘87 or so.

Thanks for the video, memory, and music break.

All of her music is rich with sound and texture, and she has a more theatrical style of writing. She's a very particular artist, her voice is only one of the instruments at her disposal; and she doesn't let her voice overwhelm her vision of the complete piece, which would be easy to do with a voice that amazing. It's one of the things I love about her music.
Enya is great for what she does, but she has a style and doesn't really deviate from her genre.

I have no musical talent, I sometimes wish I did. I could not get into this until the 5:30 mark. I started this post because I felt like putting the events of the week behind me. Then I thought I would invite others to post their musical tastes. I think it worked well. It is good to share. I thank all who have posted. There was much posted that I would have missed if not for you.

There is an organization called GEMA that has a heavy hand in policing rights of copyrighted work, and if they determine a work has not been specifically released for public viewing/listening by its creator (or rights owner or publisher), they can either order it blocked on their own, or do so upon request from rights owners in the country of copyrighting.

Listen to great organ music...not electronic...from the gut real. These kind of artists are hard to find today. The sound is so full and pure it grips you.

All genres are wonderful if they are making good music. I don't claim to love it all but I give kudos to all the artists who write and perform music. Music is an international language.
