What an amazing album put together by the 5 Wilbury half-brothers: Nelson, Otis, Lefty, Charlie T and Lucky put out this album in 1988. (all have the same father - Charles Truscott Wilbury, Sr. (Charles Truscott Wilbury, Sr.). This was an album mixed with the rich blend of rock and blues with 5 men who all were talented musicians either great guitarists, amazing vocalists or both. It was sad that 2 months after the release of this album that Lucky Wilbury had passed away, he was a man with the most haunting of voices.
Two of my favorite songs were:
Handle with Care:
and
End of the Line:
Today would have been Lucky's birthday so I have picked this album in his memory - Enjoy!

(4,138 posts)As a bonus, it seems to have been the catalyst for Dylan to stop sucking and start doing good shows and albums again.
I always liked the generational aspect of it. Dylan and Harrison grew up idolizing Orbison, and Lynne and Petty grew up listening to Dylan and the Beatles, so it must have been fun for everyone, and it really comes across in the music.
One question I have always had about it - Is "Tweeter and the Monkeyman" a friendly acknowledgment of Springsteen as an artist that was often compared to Dylan, or a catty diss at a supposed rival? Knowing Dylan, either possibility seems likely. Either way, that song rules.
(Vol 3 on the other hand is pretty much in the terrible category).
