I think this is my first Nuge post in over a week and, including this sentence, the sum total of Nuge posts is mayyyyybe 10 sentences...

In that time I have also:

Donated 5 bucks to Obama (for a chance to win dinner with him and George Clooney! )

Mildly subverted the kids of a right-wing, crazy religious nut (whose wife is friends with my wife) by making them watch Science shows on the Discovery channel this weekend. (we were watching the kids this weekend while their folks were out of town)

Tried to keep tabs on my man Alan Grayson - not sure if he will run where I can vote him but I want to support him in any way I can.

Played some Skyrim - I can only do that when my daughter is there to help me though - I suck at these kinds of games lol

Got pissed off at something on NPR but now I don't remember what it was

various and sundry other things that involve living my life.

Oh yeah, and bought a ticket to the Death To All tour - a concert to benefit a charity that provides health coverage for musicians who have none and it's a tribute to the late Chuck Schuldiner who died of a brain tumor in 2001. He founded the band Death and was a leader in creating the Florida Death Metal sound and a major influence on metal musicians ever since.

but I can't say as I have really worried about Ted Nugent. He's just saying stupid shit to sell his tour. It's vile, wrong, stupid shit, to be sure, but I doubt he matters much in the grand scheme of things.

But I think you are probably right in that doing anything other than fretting (ha! get it? He plays guitar! "fretting"! Ha! I slay me!) over his antics is more productive - especially if it helps get good people elected.
