Marvel Studios does it once again. Out of nowhere, they announced that the ten-year culmination of the MCU, Avengers: Infinity War, will enter cinemas worldwide on April 27th. Many of their films were released a week early in international markets but now it seems they want everyone to enjoy their biggest blockbuster a little earlier than usual. It was officially revealed on their official Twitter page during a discussion with Robert Downey Jr. He asked them if they could share the film with entire world a bit earlier than its original May release. Luckily for us, it worked and the whole world will get the film much earlier than anticipated.
This is huge news as it also means we should be getting the next trailer sooner than later. While this news will certainly be in a lot of headlines, many people find out about film releases through trailers. Seems like a perfect time to push out the next trailer to highlight what people can expect at the end of April. This may also be a good sign for a lot of news to head our way over the course of the coming weeks. Marvel Studios will use this chance to keep building up momentum until the films release, especially after Black Panthers success.

(17,862 posts)We are excited. As far as trailers, we don't watch them because they give up too much of the movie. I have already gotten criticism from my daughter for telling her a certain character is in the Wakanda portion of the trailer (you really can't miss it since it is in every promotion shot).

(56,828 posts)but, I'm concerned that there are so many heroes that a lot of them will get short shrift.

(37,748 posts)I'm guessing Disney wants to avoid as much overlap as possible between Infinity War and Solo: A Star Wars Story so the two don't compete (as much) for box office revenue. Shoot, I'd see both at a double header if I could arrange it.
Going into the franchise, I honestly thought it would be adequate at its very best, but Disney found a formula that really brought out the little boy in me, and I haven't missed any of the Avengers movies in the theater (much to the disappointment of a few of my friends who are more "artistically evolved" as they often make a point of implying to the rest of us heathens).

He was pivotal in all of this, so there.

..and people would have trouble relating to, although not under his full faculties at the time, was responsible for mass genocide on a galactic scale...but is now a savior of life on a galactic scale.
