Name that wet tune!

Since Fridays tend to be major news dumps these days, how about a light-hearted game?

Write a few lines from a song that refers to water, let everybody else guess what song its from, and the artist. Me first!

"I have my ship and all her flags are a' flyin'
She is all that I have left and music is her name".

Bad news, bad news, you English heroes
Bad news I have for to tell
There's one of your ships lies sunk off the land
And all of your merry men drowned.

I'm tired and going to bed, but will try to come back tomorrow and play nice

I am perplexed on these others.

How about:

Here's the hitch
Your horse is leaving
Don't miss your boat
It's leaving now.

And an easy one:

Letting the days go by, let the water hold me down
Letting the days go by, water flowing underground

I got a cravin' love for blazing speed
Got a hopped up Mustang Ford
Jump into the wagon, love
Throw your panties overboard
I can write you poems
Make a strong man lose his mind
I'm no pig without a wig
I hope you treat me kind

I love the album "Green River"..which I think was their third album, but I never much liked the title song.

CCR's fourth album. "Willie and the Poor Boys" was outstanding, imo.
