At what point would it be appropriate for me to call my son?

He told me on Wednesday that he and his wife would be going to the hospital on Thursday at 1:00 pm so that her labor could be induced.

Haven't heard a word since, and honestly I'm quite worried.

I saw his MIL on facebook this morning and asked her if she had any news and the MIL isn't responding.

Call. No time is inappropriate. Also, let them know you'd be there but for this damned cold. n/t auntAgonist Mar 2018 #9

Not nice to treat Grandma like this - he's got to realize you'd be worried. Only takes a second to make a call to you.

If it were me - I'd call him.

Just got a hold of him on FB and he says labor is going VERY VERY slowly. Very minor contractions. Says it may take quite some time. I feel so sorry for his wife, Nikki. She's not getting any sleep. I hope the doctor doesn't let this go on so long that Nikki will be too tired when it comes time to deliver. I'm not going to say anything to them though... not my place. It's up to them and the doctor.
