Sometimes commercials include some great music covers: My current favorite (yours?)

Alfa Romeo (yeah, really, they are still around!) commercial with a great cover of Chris Issak's Wicked Game

Anyone else have one on their mind?

Can't remember them right now, but when the music starts, I look up, and see it's a WallMart advertisement, I return to what I'm doing and try to ignore it's about MallWort.

Maybe the mid 90s. So who covered what since then, I'm clueless. I'm an NPR girl.

I have to admit that I'm a bit of a purist about a lot of things, including music.

BUT.... I do have a few favorite covers. For me a good cover song is one that brings something different to the song.

1) I have no love for Elvis Presley, but UB40 made "I can't help falling in love with you" something new and refreshing.

2) Aretha Franklin doing Otis Redding's "Respect"

3) Cyndi Lauper did an incredibly understated version of "Unchained Melody."
