5. Did you see "Going Clear"?

That movie sheds a completely different light on the church and Tom Cruise. He and John Travolta were both picked as celebrity ambassadors of the church, and the church just completely used and abused their celebrity status to gain followers. If you do some more digging, they apparently chose Katie Holmes as a girlfriend for Cruise, she found out about it, and that's why they split - especially when she found out about where they wanted to send their kid, which was to Sea Org, and I would not send anybody to Sea Org for anything. And I think it gets even weirder than that.

bones about Cruise using free labor of church members, mistreats them, etc.
