just felt right to you. For me the state is Baltimore,Maryland. I was in B.M for a short time but it just kind of grew on me. For the time I was there B.M is a nice place.

(24,146 posts)but the pacific northwest and scotland felt a lot like home to me
I was going to post the same thing. Specifically Whidbey Island in Washington and the Isle of Arran in Scotland.

(24,146 posts)although whidbey island is a beautiful place. inverness was probably my favorite place in scotland, although i loved all of what i saw and the people were all so welcoming and generous.

(382 posts)love Portland, but every time I've been there, it's been gray and rainy. Whidbey is in the rain shadow of the Olympics and doesn't get much rain.
Not sure why I'm drawn to islands as I don't like boats or water sports of any kind. I really like villages where you can walk or bike. Both Whidbey and Arran offer those.

(24,146 posts)i've lived my whole life in colorado, 300 days of sunshine a year.
i would love to live somewhere that i didn't have to rely on a car to get around.

(11,546 posts)as far as the Pacific northwest is concerned. I live in the Bay Area and I've spent some time up the coast of Northern California too so it all kind of feels like home to me.

(9,464 posts)I've spent a fair amount of time there, but never lived there. I've considered moving up there if I can ever afford to retire.

(4,616 posts)to Binghamton. I LOVED it. I went with a friend of mine who was playing some golf there, and I hiked around a little lake and saw beavers and giant woodpeckers and chipmunks and all kinds of natural beauty.
I always think of this place when I think of New York, and I think New York must be a truly beautiful state!

(24,926 posts)but to answer your question I'd say Vermont, NY or (not a state) Wales.
Chan790
(20,176 posts)That was NY for me but I moved to Manhattan, later Brooklyn and Yonkers, and lived there for about 2 years until one of my roommates fucked me over and I had to move away. That was 2 years ago and I can't wait to move back.

(17,086 posts)Because I yearn to return there!
But seriously, I relocated to Colorado/the Four Corners after visiting for the first time in the fall of '10. Feels right.

(2,842 posts)went through the Baltimore City public schools. A pretty good place.
My spot however is the province of Newfoundland and Labrador with my ideal location on the island of Newfoundland.
Like you said: It just felt right.
Never move there though: Too cold for my wife.

Kind of reminded me of CT.
Had somewhat big cites and suburban areas, plus the beaches. Like CT
