AHCHOO - Pollen Bomb

I had NEVER been bothered by pollen and, frankly, thought those that did were over exaggerating wimps. Now, for the first time in my life, coughing - wheezing- eyes watering - sinus throbbing. I've had bad cases of colds and the flu over the years, but they come and go - this pollen shit is hanging around now for weeks.

1. Amazing how crappy it makes you feel

It's hard to think when your nose won't stop running and your head feels like it's stuffed with cotton. The only thing that works for me is two Benadryl at bedtime and a Claritan-D in the morning.

2. I never had seasonal allergies until I moved to the Willamette Valley, grass seed capital of the US.

My nose has been running ever since.

3. This spring has been the worst - eyes burning and itching

just looking at that makes my eyes water.

Oddly I get relief using allergy eye drops which takes away the burn and itch in the eyes and loosens up the sinuses.
I know not why it works, but it does.

I tried Flonase for a week and had dreams that reminded me of stories I had read about LSD trips.
