Laurel or Yanny? This audio clip is driving the internet crazy

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/05/laurel-or-yanny-audio-clip-video-twitter-crazy-what-poll-please-vote-help

Remember the dress that people either thought was gold and white or black and blue? This is similar to that — but even more maddening.

There’s an audio clip going around the internet that is causing people to hear “Yanny” or “Laurel.” When I listen to it, I clearly hear “Laurel” and believed that anyone hearing the other option was a troll. You may hear something different.

Can't copy the audio - but I hear yanny

I hear Laurel when he sets the pitch high, I hear Yanny when he sets the pitch low. But, at the setting on the original audio clip, I hear Yanny.

The blue dress made some sense to me. This is more of a surprise.

I'm in my early 50's. Wonder if this is related to the natural loss of high-frequency hearing that comes with middle age?

I heard Yanny - high pitch

She heard Laurel - deep pitch.

We each called the other an idiot.

If memory serves, I think we also disagreed on the blue/black dress.

If we had only know this 30+ years ago, we might not have got married.

Yanny you can hear from initial stand point. Laurel if you listen to the lower tone of it. I listened to it multiple times and got to hear both
