Don't know why, exactly...it just is. Nice dramatic opening for a solid tune.



Similar in spirit to Jon Lord's opening to "Perfect Strangers"...a favorite for the same reason.

This was the "passing of the torch" to Don Airey...Jon Lord's final performance with the band. When I saw it on DVD for the first time, I was blown away. Airey plays a keyboard solo for the first four and a half minutes, then darkness, the Lord, playing the "Perfect Strangers" intro.
