I feel so guilty dropped boog and golden retriever off at kennel

I feel so bad dropping the furry boys off. Reason is we’re having contractors replacing a downstairs bathroom we had pipe burst. Thank goodness for homeowners and also the floors will be redone stripped sanded and finished. And it will be maybe until Friday, and it really would stress the furry boys out being here with the contractors.

The wife and our sons and mother in law left yesterday for a four day school approved field trip to my mother in laws home in jersey. They will tour Philadelphia liberty bell independence hall the zoo. And I took a week vacation to be around.

In the pathfinder this morning the golden and the boog ,oh boy we’re going for a ride with the man. I felt like a shit I don’t eat macdonalds only drink the coffee. But I went through the drive thru and got the boys each a Mac griddle. They were like cool man got us breakfast gonna be awesome day.

And then I pulled into the kennel the big house the pen the Stoney lonesome. The boog totally clueless but the golden retriever knew. Oh wait it’s a set up boog don’t get out of the car.

They seem to have gotten all the cancer when they removed his testes. No signs of anything so far. Still keeping an eye out but so far, so good. Thanks for asking!

One of his testicles (that we didn't know he had until recently. Never dropped) swelled up. So we had em removed and it ended up being malignant. Vet is pretty sure she got everything. Just on watch for awhile. So far, so good. Thanks though!

They all act so happy to go for a ride .... then they end up at the prison!

Even when you know it's for their own good...... it makes you feel awful. The look they give you when you leave.

I remember our old lab, we took her to a kennel when we went on vacay ..... she must have sensed the unhappy dogs in the air, she refused to go in! My son had to half drag her half carry her in. I felt so bad! When we picked her up 3 days later, she left a present in the back of the van to let us know what she thought of the whole idea.

Never happened again....

He and my mother used to take a long trip for vacation once a year - and when they first came home, the dog made a point of obviously ignoring my Dad, definitely gave him that cold shoulder.

They have kiddie pools and kiddie play equipment. The big dogs get to hang with each other and the smaller dogs have their own play yard.

They post photos of the dogs playing. You can tell they're having a good time. And Snowy never resists going in the door when I drop her off.

Here's a photo gallery from their website http://www.chapelhillpetresortnc.com/gallery.html

In fact, Snowy is one of the smiles. She's on the left in the 3rd row down from the caption that "The best smiles are doggy smiles"

to find limited overnight (for a couple of days) pet sitting in someone's home for Snowy. She was very happy with one woman I used when I was living at the beach over the winter. The woman had a 9 year old labradoodle that adored Snowy (who is 12). It's another option when your dogs can't stay at home.

There are a lot of much better situations for boarding or daycare for dogs than there were even 10 years ago. For years I hired someone to house/pet sit when we would travel because I hated to put my dog in a kennel which didn't have the amenities that the pet resorts have these days. And I only discovered rover.com this last winter.

for missing your furry boys.
