Hopefully you all are aware there were two VERY DIFFERENT bands named "Journey"

The original band, before Steve Perry joined

This sounds NOTHING like the band they later became. Both this and their first album are two of the best rock/fusion albums of all time.

With Neal's guitar, awesome.

Just wasn't my thing, I guess, at the time.

But I really appreciated the Perry version. They really brought it all to the table in an era of bands like Boston and Toto who exhibited first-class vocals and musicianship. It was always exciting to listen to new albums by those bands because you knew they were going to be great.

(Sadly, we don't have anything like that in popular music today, but don't get me started...

And get off my lawn.)

The original blues band with Peter Green.

Then the later version with those other people.
