My little black female has the softest fur. But I have never seen a cat shed so much. She sheds all applegrove May 2012 #7

We've got two long-hair dogs, three cats, two new kittens, and a rabbit that changes coats twice a year. The vacuum is a Electrolux canister from about 1987 and it still manages to deal with it, but it does make a nasty-ass smell when the filter bag is packed full (which can happen in as little as an hour in our house). Note: Those with allergies might not want to visit us.
