1. She really shouldn't be saying anything other than..are you okay? Just back from VN -

My brother was an insurance appraiser/adjuster..he would bring his photos home..I would review with him..Dad was in auto business...been around cars forever...well. we would go through the books..auto make..year - photos...of course this was before no fault...Massachusetts - police report....and a diagram of accident...D1 - D2 etc...

It is very apparent through photos, and diagram of accident, who was at fault..at least this is how it used to work.....not having your specifics..its hard to know..but, the lady really needs to back off..she does not have control of the situation..the facts do..good luck....

2. Four lane divided roadway

I was in right lane right behind a pickup with landscaping trailer approaching entry ramp to hwy. she shot around in left lane and just came right over. No signal. I nailed the brakes and thought she made it over but she hit her hazards and slowed. Then claimed I hit her. Not a fraud attempt. She didn’t try and brake check me

Just an idiot trying to get 0.3 secs further down the road

Ugh

I’m so hungry. Wondering if I should order a pizza

4. From my recollection I think if the damage is over a certain amount you can still call the police

At least that was my recollection anyway. Of course the problem is that you won't know the extent of the damage in a lot of cases until someone actually takes a look at your car.

I feel like just talking about this is going to curse me somehow to an accident.

I just made an edit. I really shouldnt be making jokes when the op was in an accident. Please accept my apology. I literally realized it as soon as I posted.

3. Hope you are okay. I had the same thing happen to my other half, the other accident participant...

said that my other half ran into them...the cops looked at the vehicles and laughed, said it was real obviously who hit who (they did vs. other half), especially since they ran a stop sign.

9. About 15 years ago I was in my buddy's jeep with him when this young woman hit us from behind.

She wasnt much younger than us at the time. My friend is seriously one of the kindest and most gentle people you will ever meet but he is 6 foot 7. He gets out of the car to exchange information with the woman and she screams at him to get away. John is rather socially awkward so I tell him to just call the police and facilitate the transfer. The police show up and she is screaming and pointing and carrying on. The police look at the back of his car and tells her that she has the responsibility to stop. She claimed John stops short but we were at a red light and she wasn't paying attention. She still refuses to hand over the insurance information when the father shows up. At this point John is ready to just leave and give up not wanting to get into it. The father gets out of the car and takes a look at the situation and talks to his daughter. She is still screaming and carrying on when he asks if she is finished. He tells her you can hit people, the police noted there are no skid marks, and that she needed to apologize. They both walk over to John and I and apologize, the father shakes John's hand and tell them their insurance will cover any damage.

I credit the officer for keeping his cool because the woman was rather belligerent and poking. When we were leaving the police officer said you have no idea how often we get yelled at by people clearly at fault in an accident. He figured the father was going to get into it based upon his daughters behavior but no, the father was total aces.

Besides high school with my friend driving and causing an accident that was really the only other incident I've had besides just some dings here and there. I did cause a accident myself once on the highway by failing to merge properly. I still feel awful about that. I was clearly wrong.

I was involved in one of these three years ago. A woman who wasn't paying attention and drove into my lane at a slow rate of speed in near bumper-to-bumper traffic. We pulled over to exchange info and she apologized. Said she was coming from work and almost was fired so she was preoccupied/distracted.

Anyway, she texted me: "It's Leslie who hit you." so I had her phone number in my phone. That would prove to be key because she later changed her story and said I drove into her.

There are more good people than bad, Roland. Don't lose sight!

I changed lanes on someone once. Thought he’d turned right from right lane and I was in middle lane

Apologized profusely. Totally my fault

Just wish this person had done the same. Own up. *sigh*
