I made a similar comment on the GD thread about Neera Tanden's "little girl" voice and got lambasted as "clueless" and "sexist", and told it was "an awful thing to say". I'm learning this can be a tough crowd in here!

Besides that odd voice, she was very stilted in her actions and mannerisms. When I learned she was heavy into figure skating, it sort of dawned on me she lives in a totally controlled world run by her parents. She gets up early to hit the rink, school, homework, early to bed. She has no social life and she is, literally, still a child. Is there such a medical thing as arrested prepubescence brought on by deprivation, or has she has always received positive reinforcement from her parents when she sounds like their little princess and continued doing it as a coping mechanism? Very strange.

Questions are far too easy. That said, i think it's cool the Jeopardy does this. Great for those kids.
