A Highland Park car thief ditched his beat-up SUV for a new Ferrari last week, police say.
Officers were called to a home in the 3500 block of Beverly Drive, near Auburndale Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon about a crime that occurred several days earlier.
According to the homeowner, a white 2018 Ferrari GTC4Lusso T had been left in the driveway at the side of the home, unlocked and with the keys inside, on Nov. 4. (The Italian supercar, which can go from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds and tops out at 199 mph, retails for around $300,000.)

(64,995 posts)Highland Park is a pretty affluent area in Dallas, but a $300k car with so little regard. Yeah, houses carry a median value of more than $1.6 million, but still, a 300k car with the keys in it?
