Feel like I went to the gym for a workout. I most likely will be making another 56 pounds a day or two after Thanksgiving.

(10,095 posts)There is a little local restaurant that makes a German Pizza, they put just a tad bit of sauerkraut on it, sounded so strange I had to have it. It is pretty good, just enough to give a subtle extra something.
Peace
No German puts sauerkraut on a pizza... But we put corn on it and call it an American pizza

(16,423 posts)An oven-tray. Generously oil it.
Sauerkraut. Take a handfull, squeeze with your bare hand as hard as you can until you have a dry ball, then rip the ball into fluffy pieces. Repeat until the whole tray is covered with dry Sauerkraut. Add a pinch of caraway if you like.
Pork-belly cut into slices 0.25-0.5 inches thick. Salt, pepper. Put pork-belly on Sauerkraut.
180-200°C for about 20-30 minutes, until the pork-belly looks golden and crunchy.
Take out, flip the slices. Salt, pepper, and sprinkle with some finely minced garlic.
Return to oven. Another 20 minutes or so, until bacon looks golden and crunchy.
If you haven't eaten fried Sauerkraut, you haven't lived.

(359 posts)the only thing was the wife and kid wouldn't eat it. Noses turned up. And they like my food (and it was good).
The next morning the wife makes the boy some bacon for breakfast and the two are compiling away.
