It couldn't possibly have been real. A cat's vocal apparatus isn't large enough The Velveteen Ocelot Nov 2018 #14

They're little animals with little vocal cords; my cat's meow is normally around E-flat above C above middle C . This guy sounds like he could sing in the Russian Army Chorus.

when he grows up... you know that sound cats make when they're really pissed usually during a cat fight? that yowling growl that's almost like they are really getting ready to cuss you out?

he'll send large dogs packing ...

Which I didn’t until this moment!!

I wonder if he was born this way or experienced a strange vocal injury...my old boy Bill had a weird event of some sort in his throat that caused him to have to open his mouth when he purred (wtf??) - vet perplexed as well...eventually he didn’t open his mouth to purr, BUT, his once ginormously loud purr was henceforth dulled to a barely audible one...

Anyway, cats are weird people!!

Thanks for posting, denbot

James Earl Jones has one of the best voices EVER. Same with Dennis Haysbert, who does the
Allstate commercials.

The biggest of our 3 cats, a black and brown tabby guy who weighs in a 15 pounds (not fat, just a big dude), has the wimpier little meow that doen’t suit him at all. Jack’s basso profundo would be perfect on big old Winston.

to create such a low pitch that's not a growl. I am (obviously) much larger than a cat and I can't pitch my voice that low. It's like a string on a guitar or a cello; the pitch is based on the length of the string, which dictates the wavelength when it vibrates.
