Several days of rain in NorCal, no more smoke

Thank God. Days of living in a giant Marlboro tent have ended thanks to a series of storms that seemed to douse these infernal fires and washed the air of smoke. I'm several hundred miles away from Paradise and my community has been living in Stephen King's The Mist for a few weeks now, only in this story the mist is smoke.

Nice to be able to breathe again. Take from me, climate change sucks.

So sorry for everything folks have gone through and are still going through. The rescue teams, the helpers and all the terrific people doing whatever they can to help, are wonderful. The rest of us can only imagine the destruction and loss you are all experiencing. Stay safe.
