Michael Des Barres will be live-streaming a couple of songs from his concert tonight
He's going to do it on his Facebook page. No idea when. Show is scheduled to start at 9 PM, and he has two opening bands.
He fronted the glam-rock band Silverhead in 1972.
A few years after that he fronted Detective, which also featured Tony Kaye from Yes. They were signed to Led Zeppelin's Swan Song label, and took a lot of heat for SOUNDING like Led Zeppelin (they did). At this time he famously appeared on WKRP in Cincinnati as a member of a punk rock band, "Scum of the Earth." At the end of the episode he lip-synched a performance of Detective's "Got Enough Love."
He then formed Chequered Past with Clem Burke and Nigel Harrison (Blondie), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols), and Tony Sales (Bowie's "Tin Machine" and Iggy Pop)
He joined Power Station after Robert Palmer left, and played Live Aid with the band.
He then did a few solo albums but focused mainly on acting, with his best know role being the assassin "Murdoc" on "MacGyver."
He has a new band called The Mistakes, and their live debut is tonight at the Redwood Bar in Los Angeles.
So, if you're a fan, "like" his Facebook page and you'll be there when the streaming starts tonight.
