I dont know enough about eagles to know if that is a consideration, but I think couples mate for life dont they?

the young female and took over the nest building activities with the male. So, not so sure about that.

There's no young to protect, and nest areas are generally left until next mating season.

In Southeast Alaska the eagles sit on trees together. It's an amazing sight!
