But the original, a German-made TV film, actually depicted the Wannsee Conference in real time. The conference lasted just over an hour, and so did the TV film.

I watched this film with my wife. There were a number of actors we both like, including Kenneth Branagh, Colin Firth, and Stanley Tucci. Every once in a while, she would point to one of them and asked hopefully: "Is he a good guy?"

"No, honey."

"No, honey."

"Well, is Colin Firth a good guy?"

"No, honey. They're Nazis. They're all bad guys! This conference was the height of evil simply because they reduced the murder of millions down to railroad timetables, stamped forms, supply requisitions, and administrative oversight. They're bureaucrats. But they're evil bureaucrats!"
