Were any of your children afraid of Santa Claus when young?

My daughter wasn’t necessarily afraid of him, but thought he was creepy and avoided him at every turn. Only clowns freaked her out more.

Because of the lyrics "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake". It kept me up all Christmas Eve.

Santa putting presents under the tree. He said "I'm sorry you've seen me Smirky, now I'll have to kill you."

Ever since then, I have been terrified of Santa Claus.

My kid loved him.

I had a friend whose daughter could not even be in a room with a picture of Santa.

My older daughter refused to sit on Santa's lap after she was about 3. She brings home A's in math & science, & wants to study astronomy. Physics is her favorite class.

calls him the Christmas guy. Nobody corrects her. She calls me Grandpa. No one corrects her. (I'm grandma) Not sure how she'll deal with real Grandpa and me both visiting at Christmas.

She's not afraid of anything that I know of.
