(34,105 posts)He would jump us and nuzzle one of my horses who loved that. They would rub each others faces then he would lick that cat until he was sopping wet. Then the cat would get on his back and sit there in the sun until he felt he was sufficiently dry then jump off and go about his business.

I am guessing that the horses were well aquainted with the cats since they shared the same barn in cold weather. I used to have fun re-arranging the pallets of square bales and making little tunnels between the bales for the cats to stay warm. One time I went to pet one of them to be friendly and a possum reared up and hissed at me. Scared the hell out of me initially. Apparently the opposum appreciated the square bales too...

(22,062 posts)When he was younger, the barn cats learned to avoid him. He's very tactile, and would start out rubbing his lips around the cat's back. Then, if the cat hung around, he would pick them up by their tails.
Hilarious!
