Nothing I've tried or even gotten at Starbucks or any other gourmet coffee shop comes close to the TAZO brand liquid premix Chai lattes that I use. Nothing. Heat and add a milk type product. Better than homemade from scratch.

anise. The milk, 1/2 of the volume, would form a skin and then it was ready. It was a big pot like a Dutch oven. You'd just ladle it out. It looks like a hot mess from scratch.. What I made tonight was 2 chai teabags in the 2.5 cups of water and steep. Then at the milk and star anise and simmer. So it was certainly not from scratch. But was good anyhow. I drink it with stevia because I like it sweet. But I add that after the chai is in the mug.
