(21,846 posts)SCE, I look forward to your LOLcats every Sunday morning. This is just to know you have a big fan here, even though I usually don't post in response to your work.

And who the hell was the lunatic who photographed the ibex on the mountainside?

(24,365 posts)called a "Telephoto Lens" or some such wizardry.
Could be that.
Or magic.
Or a small, noisy, 4 bladed helicopter that this wild animal is completely ignoring.

(14,012 posts)fabulous shot.
A HERETIC I AM
(24,365 posts)SalmonChantedEvening has had, for several years now, this unbelievable track record of finding the most gorgeous wildlife photography on the internet, and he is kind enough to take the time to put a collection of them together for us to enjoy once a week. AND...he has this knack for not repeating himself. One would be hard pressed to find a funny LOLCat photo or wildlife shot he has used twice.
I have the pleasure of knowing him personally, and I can tell you from my own experience that putting together a thread like this, each and every week, is a HUGE undertaking.
This, by the way, is why my weekly response to this thread is a simple, one word "YAY!"
It means I am happy. Glad. Pleased, joyful, knowing what I will see will be a joy to others and it leaves me looking forward to seeing what he has collected. The fact is, when I see he has put up his thread on a Sunday morning, I don't even bother to look at the photos first, rather I scroll all the way down to the "Reply" button to type in my YAY.
The Wild, Alpine Goat, resting on a tiny ledge that is huge enough for him, is scanning his kingdom, master of all he surveys.
Truly a gorgeous shot, regardless of how it was attained.
FailureToCommunicate
(14,012 posts)How cool that you know him. Please pass on to him, if you would, what I hope he always knows: that we LOVE the results of his effort, and are astonished by what must go into it each and every week!

(35,653 posts)I usually lose.
The kitty who figured out his present really made me laugh. That is so cat-like.
That family putting the star on the tree: there's no way. How did they do that, or is it just shopped?
