Fun Fact: Do you know where "humble pie" comes from?

In medieval times, noble people socialized by going on deer-hunts together. After the hunt, the deer was butchered and the cuts divided up. The more high-ranking the person, the better the cut.

At the end the intestines, the "umbles", were left over. They went to the lower-class servants, who chopped them up and used them for meat-pies.

So, if you are a low-class person, all you get from the hunt is umble-pie.
